Happy Friday Blogland!

This is truly a very Happy Friday for me indeed, this is my last day of work until next year!! YIPPEEEE for Me!!!

Today at work we have a full day of activities planned from a Holiday feast to caroling around our office, it should be a fun filled day!

I have been MIA lately and you would think I have not been doing any crafting…oh how wrong you would be! Since I decided to change my color scheme this year I have been doing A LOT of different things to get ready for the change.. I have been making new bows, new ornaments and A LOT of spray painting! It’s still not all done yet but I will be so prepared for next year!

Below are just a couple of new items that I made for this year:

Twine tree

I love this thing! It is so stinking cute! I bought jute at the Dollar store and just started wrapping while watching TV one night. The candle stick is an old brass one I have had for YEARS and I just spray painted it white. The tree is not even attached to it, it’s just placed on top so I can use it for something else later… I made 2 of these tree and they are both on my mantle (pictures of that to come as soon as my new drop cloth stockings are done)

Wooden Stockings

These babies were made with MUCH LOVE by my dear mommy! I bought a wooden one at hobby lobby to use as a template and she made over 40 ( YES 40) of these for me. Is she sweet or what?!

I spray painted most of them brown and then made a template for my cricut so I could cut the top out in pretty scrapbook paper in mass.. I then modge podged the paper on.

I used half of them as an advent calendar , so I numbered them 1-25..each day the kids take one of the stockings down and put it on the tree and then get their treat for the day.. the rest of them I just spread throughout my home on the garland over the fireplace and down the staircase.. I LOVE them!
